Head of Communications (Interim)

As Interim Head of Communications for the Medical Sciences Division, I represent the Division and its interests in University-wide groups and with external partners and collaborators, while providing leadership, oversight and support to communications colleagues across the Division.

I report to the Divisional Registrar and work closely with the Head of Division, senior divisional office staff, and departmental administrative and communications teams. I lead the development and delivery of communications strategy and activities that strengthen information sharing across the Division and raise awareness of its priorities, achievements and impact. I also provide communications leadership and advice during issues and crisis management situations.

I oversee the Division’s internal and external communications channels, including the monthly staff e-newsletter OxfordMedSci News, the Division’s website, and social media channels.

I previously worked in the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford. I have worked in communication and marketing roles in the not-for-profit and education sectors for 20+ years.
